TapCoin Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how TapCoin collects, uses and protects information when you play the game. It is designed to answer the same questions you see in the Apple App Store privacy section.
1. Who we are
TapCoin is a mobile game where players tap to climb weekly leaderboards and participate in BTC-style prize pools funded by rewarded ads. We do not offer trading, exchanges or investment products.
2. What data we collect
TapCoin is built to collect only the data needed to run the game, fight fraud, measure performance and process prize payouts.
Data linked to you
- Wallet address (optional): if you enter a BTC-style wallet address, we store it so we can send you prize payouts when you win.
- Contact details (support only): if you email us or contact support, we may store your email and message in order to respond.
Data not directly linked to you
- Device ID: a generated device identifier used to create your TapCoin user profile, save your score and protect against cheating.
- Game activity: taps, ads watched, leaderboard rank, win streak and other gameplay statistics.
- Analytics: aggregated usage data such as session length, screens viewed and crash reports (via Apple and/or third-party analytics providers).
- Advertising identifiers: ad network identifiers (such as IDFA where permitted) used to show rewarded ads and measure performance.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive information such as health data, precise location, contacts, photos or your microphone/camera through TapCoin gameplay.
3. How we use your data
- Gameplay: to create your user profile, track taps, manage weekly leaderboards and detect cheating.
- Prize payouts: to calculate winners, store optional wallet addresses and process BTC-style rewards.
- Analytics: to understand which parts of the game are used most and to improve performance and stability.
- Advertising: to show rewarded ads, measure impressions and rewards, and to fund the weekly prize pool.
- Support: to reply to player questions and troubleshoot issues.
4. Ads & tracking
TapCoin uses rewarded ads to fund the BTC-style prize pool. Ad networks may collect their own device identifiers and usage data to:
- serve and cap rewarded ads,
- measure ad performance and fraud,
- comply with their own policies and legal requirements.
On iOS, we honour the system-level App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. If you choose not to allow tracking, certain ad targeting and attribution features may be limited.
5. Data sharing
We may share limited data with:
- Analytics providers: to understand aggregate usage and improve the game.
- Ad networks: to serve rewarded ads and verify rewards.
- Payment and payout providers: only as needed to process BTC-style prize payouts.
- Service providers: such as hosting and error-logging platforms.
We do not sell your personal data.
6. Data retention
We keep gameplay and leaderboard data for as long as your TapCoin profile remains active so you can see your history and achievements. Wallet addresses are retained while needed for payouts and basic records. Aggregated analytics may be kept for longer for trend analysis.
7. Your choices
- Wallet address: you can add, change or remove your wallet address in the app settings.
- Tracking permissions: you can change iOS tracking permissions at any time in your device settings.
- Limit ads: you can choose not to watch rewarded ads; you will still be able to play, but may earn fewer boosts and contribute less to the prize pool.
8. Security
We use encryption in transit and modern hosting practices to help protect your data. No internet service is 100% secure, but we actively monitor and maintain the TapCoin backend to reduce risk.
9. Children
TapCoin is not intended for children under the minimum age required by local law to consent to data processing. If you believe a child has provided data to us, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as TapCoin evolves or as laws change. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page and, if changes are significant, may provide additional notice in the app.
